"But what is a role shift AU? Why not just say role swap AU?" I'm glad you asked!
A role swap AU is an AU where two or more characters switch roles in the plot with each other. A role shift AU doesn't swap roles between pairs, but shifts roles from one character to another typically without reciprocation.
It should be noted that characters don't swap personalities in this AU! However, bits and pieces of a character's story might be altered to fit their new role. If a character has a specific thing as a theme or interest, they may still have that interest or theme, but with a different object.
Will people see this? Probably not. This project is mostly for me. But I would love to share it with someone else if they'll hear it.
